It's an honor and a privilege to serve as your MSALC Director of Retirees. It might be a little difficult to follow in the steps of my predecessor, Nels Schregardus, but I will do my best.

There are many issues facing us, not only as retirees but also as active letter carriers. We must and we will stay on top of the issues that concern us legislatively, such as the Government pension Offset, the Windfall Elimination Provision, and Postal Reform. We must also urge with our elected officials to co-sponsor and support own Legislative agenda.

An increasing number of letter carriers are retiring under the Federal Employee's Retirement System (FERS) and we must keep them up to date on FERS changes as well as those affecting CSRS retirees.

I will always be available to any Branch at any time to assist our members and to address any problems they may have with OPM or the Postal Service.
