After the second reading, place the Lectionary on the shelf of the pulpit.

The lector carries the Book of The Gospels in the Entrance Procession, and places the Book in the center of the altar before going to their seat.

At the end of Mass, you carry the book out in the Recessional You may get the Book of the Gospels after the final prayer and blessing of Mass.
