TATER TOURS TO NEW YORK CITY

OCT. 11^TH – 14^TH

COLUMBUS WEEKEND!!

(WALK THE 5 BOROUGHS OF NYC!!) 

NOTE: This trip will be the 1^st of two trips that are planned back-to-back on the East Coast.  The second trip will be the US Freedom Walks in Washington D.C. plus a few of the surrounding states!  Make it a two week extravaganza, walking with friends from afar!

Oct. 11^th: (Sat.) Depart the Gunther Parking Lot, near Baltimore, Maryland and drive to New York City for the 1^st of FOUR SEASONAL Walks in Four of the Five Boroughs that the Princeton Area Walkers have organized for 2008.  Participate in the 1^st walk located in “The Bronx”.  This walk will be through the New York City Botanical Gardens.  WOW!!!  You can go to www.nybg.org to check it out!   Hotel accommodations at the Hampton Inn in Carlstadt, New Jersey, 5 miles from the Lincoln Tunnel for 3 nights.  (201) 935-9000   Continental Breakfast included.                 

Oct. 12^th: (Sun.) Participate in the Central Park or the Mid-Town Manhattan Walk. The Central Park walk passes many significant sites, including the Jackie Kennedy Reservoir and many museums.  The Mid-Town Manhattan walk goes by Times Square, Madison Square Garden, the UN Complex, and St. Patrick’s Cathedral.  These are two Year Round events.  In the afternoon, we will see the Broadway Show  “Young Frankenstein” as a matinee.  You can go to www.broadway.com to check! 

Oct. 13^th: (Mon.) In the morning, participate in the 2nd Seasonal walk located in “Brooklyn”.  This walk will cross the famous Brooklyn Bridge and walk through the historical and hip Brooklyn Heights section of the borough.  The afternoon walk will be the 3rd event, located in “Queens”.  This walk crosses the 59^thStreet Bridge (as in the song sung by Simon & Garfunkel's "Feeling Groovy") into Long Island City which is in Queens. 

Oct. 14^th:  (Tue.)  The last day we will participate in the 4^th and final Seasonal Event located on “Staten Island”.  This event will walk around the Snug Harbor section with views of the waterfront.  After the walk we will be driving back to the Gunther Parking lot in Maryland.

$100.00 will reserve your seat on this great trip to the “Big Apple City”!  (Non-refundable)

PAYMENT SCHEDULE:                

One Payment will be due on August 15th!              

The cost of the trip will include:
