Precious Leglock
"THE GREATEST THERE EVER WAS OR EVER WILL BE"
Episode I  - Episode IX

character created by Steve Mollet

"He died saving a world that wasn't his own, rescuing a people he didn't know. In doing so, he taught us things that we, as a world, had forgotten. We had been silenced by the Empire; we let it win by blaming not the Empire for The Light Of Truth, but ourselves. It was our careless generosity to strangers, we thought, that had brought doom upon us. Drowned in our pain, we allowed it to overwhelm us. The beacon of hope that Galipor had once been for so many was finally shuttered, and we were the ones who did it--out of fear and bitterness and anger. But now all is clear once again. Precious Leglock did more than sacrifice himself for our lives, he sacrificed himself to show us what he understood and what we, in our long period of mourning, had forgotten: That you can never give too much when innocent lives are threatened. He sought no reward, went to his fate with no complaint and didn't surrender to despair when adversity arose. Precious Leglock has given us our lives, but more importantly, he has returned to us our hope and our will, and for that we can never repay him. Now the light of freedom will burn anew on Galipor and while the Empire may kill us, it shall never again extinguish it from our hearts."
-Essa Blaise, Acting Leader Of Galipor

"That a droid, perhaps the most maligned of all things in this universe, can shown such a capacity for heroism demonstrates why we shall eventually triumph. The Empire, in its own perverse way, brings out the best in us all. Precious Leglock will be remembered."

-Mon Mothma, Fugitive Senator; Leader of the Rebel Alliance

"He was the greatest. That's really all there is to say, isn't it? He wasn't the original, you know. No, he was better. I heard he nailed more Stormtroopers in his last time out than most of us will in our entire careers. I know Friz wanted to draft him into the Irregulars, but Precious seemed happy with Jado and the rest of that crew. And that's the kind of thing I'm talking about; good old fashioned loyalty. I'm really going to miss him."

-Clampet "Scooter" Jurgan, Mechanic; Baleschee Irregular

"I only met him the one time. He called me a 'geek' and threatened me with the most frightful bodily harm. I'm fluent in over 3 million forms of communication, and I'm still not entirely sure what a "geek" is, but the word was evidently quite popular with him. As was "pencil neck." Very peculiar individual. To be honest, he was obviously the worst kind of ruffian and I wanted nothing to do with him. Still, I do suppose he had his.... charms. And he certainly did save a lot of humans. But, if I may say, I have little patience for droids with an unhealthy affinity for adventure. Oh yes, and R2 made me promise to say that, no matter what I think, he always liked him and thought that he had a tremendous amount of style. However, I feel I must point out that R2 is just the sort of droid I was describing earlier and thus his judgment must be considered somewhat dubious. I just hope that the general public doesn't get a negative impression of droids as a whole from the exploits of the few dangerously maladjusted out there."

-C-3PO (See-Threepio), Rebel Droid

"I remember him as being large. Big, really big. But he had heart. Helped a lot of us Jawas out. Swell droid. I think he had jewels or something on his armor plating. Not worth much, if I recall. But a really good guy. Not surprised he went out fighting. Good guy. Yep. Great guy. Am I getting paid for this?"

-Jaleenie,  Jawa Clan Leader, Tatooine
