Here are some facts about your favorite number and mine:

• It is the ratio of a circumference of a circle to it's diameter.
• Pi radians equals 180°.
• e raised to the i*pi power equals -1 (e is the base of the natural logarithm, and i is the imaginary number which is the sqare root of -1).
• What do you get when you cut a pumpkin by it's diameter? Pumpkin pi. (sorry.)
• My birthday, 121384, starts at the 534996th digit in pi. (click here!)

So anyway, I remember being fascinated by Pi Pages (and it's friends) for hours and hours, but alas! I had no idea there was a National Pi Day, until my friend informed me a little while ago that indeed, March 14 is quite that. So, since I have no homework today, I felt it was a fitting tribute to sit here and marvel at my total lack of a life. (Hence, this page.) I'm proud to say that I only know that pi is about equal to 3. My friend claims to have memorized hundreds of digits of pi. Pretentious jerk. :)

Oh yes, tomorrow is another significant day as well. Immediately following National Pi Day comes the Ides of March! Now that just begs for celebration. I think I'll go to sleep now.
