PERSONAL
INFORMATION
BUSINESS:
I am the principal of SFP Associates which I founded in 1993. I am a
Strategic Financial Planner/Business Consultant specializing in solutions to the
financially related problems faced by small business owners and have been
working in this field since 1986. I am registered with the Connecticut
Department of Banking as an Investment Advisor (RIA). My practice also includes
assisting entrepreneurs with problems relating to new business startups. My
professional background includes electronic engineering, computer science and
operations research as well as financial management.

- Lifelong interest in and first
hand experience with a broad range of transportation alternatives:
- Attended Transportation
Summit in East Hartford and the Middletown follow up session.
- Many years auto commuting on
local roads and I-91.
- Drove a truck part time for
several years in High School and College.
- Extensive use of railroads in
the US and parts of Europe.
- Extensive use of buses for
personal transport and commuting.
- Extensive use of light rail
systems for personal transport and commuting.
- Have taken trips on most of
the public ferry boats on the East Coast, from Portland, ME to Moorehead
City, NC and on Lake Champlain plus many others elsewhere in the US, Canada
and parts of Europe..
- Commuted by bicycle to work 8
months of the year for several years.
- During college took 36 rides
on 11 roller coasters in 5 amusement parks in 3 states in 24 hrs. & 5
min.
- Have ridden on many
additional unique or odd-ball public transportation "systems" and am always
on the lookout for more.
- Long time cyclist and bicycle tourist (38,000 miles to date but slowing
down some now).
- Took and Passed United States
Power Squadron Boating Course.
- Have a Connecticut Safe Boating
Certificate.
- Active kayaker.
