Alright, here's the crappy page where you get to see demo pics from the animation. Don't expect to bee too impressed yet, it's still early on. I'll try to upload some pics of stuff I've done recently so you people can see what a mess I've made of the whole thing...I mean...how great it's going. Anyway, tell me what you think.

Ok, the modeling on this is basically done. Now we need to add proper textures and materials. We got the "glass" to reflect, but it's not quite right and needs tweaking. The whole thing should end up with cool textures, eventually. So, let me know what you think!

alright, this is just about done. I might do something about the big box not being attached to anything, though. The fence and the large box-type enclosure that's around the playfield will be semi-transparent glass, in order to create visual separation between the outside of the playfield and the inside. This is to prevent the viewer from getting confused with a scene that looks "too busy" while they are trying to follow vader and the robot. Anyway, once this is done it'll have proper lighting and texturing. That'll be done in MAX.

This is just a stupid little pic of a stupid little robot that might roll around in the background or something, maybe it will be the other competitor, I dunno. I just know we need some extra bots though, it's inevitable. The important thing is they don't look anything like a proper first robot, so the viewer doesn't get confused between the other bots and ours.

same as above, only crappier.

This is the computer that darth vader will be using to enter the FIRST competition during the animation. (this is the backstory: we see vader entering on the web, then we see his shuttle flying to the space station, then we see him at the competition. Also, we see that he is assigned the enforcer robot as his partner in the computer-scene. This avoids having lengthy explanations take up a lot of time.) I thought that vader's computer should be way overdone because, hey, it's darth vader!

Plough did a real top-notch job texturing this thing, don't ya think? I know it's not 100% true to life but it does look nice. Same goes for the other pic of it.
