USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D

The USS Enterprise "D" was the flagship of Starfleet and the United Federation of Planets. The fifth Federation vessel to carry the name Enterprise, it was scrapped after crashing on planet Veridian III. The following is an officer roster at the time of the crash, with the exception of Tasha Yar, who had previously died.

Previous Posts: Serving aboard the Stargazer (NCC-2893), Lt. Picard took charge of the ship after the captain was killed. For his bravery, he was awarded command of the Stargazer in 2342. Picard held this post until 2355, when the Stargazer was badly damaged in a battle with the Ferengi. He was court-martialed for the incidentm but an investigation cleared him of all the charges.
Joined the Enterprise: In 2363 Picard was given the command of the USS Enterprise D, nine years after his last post.
Personal Information: Picard was something of a renaissance man, whose areas of interest range from drama to astrophysics. He was an amateur archaeologist, and almost became one professionally. Picard never married because his career was always the most important thing in his life. He has an artificial heart because he was stabbed in the heart during his early days in Starfleet. Picard enjoys Shakespeare, horseback riding, Dixon Hill novels, Earl Gray tea, and playing the piano and Ressikan flute.

Previous Posts: Riker's first assignment was on the Starship Pegasus as an Ensign and was quickly promoted to Lieutenant. While stationed on Betazed, he met Deanna Troi, whom he shared a relationship with. He then served on board the USS Potempkin, where he was promoted to Lieutenant Commander after leading a rescue mission. He was promoted to Executive Officer, and served aboard the USS Hood until 2364.
Joined the Enterprise: In 2364 he was offered the command of the USS Drake but decided to join the Enterprise D as its first officer. He joined the crew at planet Deneb IV.
Personal Information: William Riker's mother died while he was three years old. This began a series of emotional battles with his father that lead Riker to swear that he would never become close to anyone again. Riker was estranged from his father for 15 years, before finally reconciling. He was drawn out of his emotional darkness by Deanna Troi. Riker has turned down Captaincies of the Drake, the Aries and the Melbourne. He enjoys jazz music, plays the trombone, is a master at poker, and enjoys cooking.

Joined the Enterprise: Data joined the crew in 2363 and served as second officer and chief of operations.
Personal Information: Data was discovered on Omicron Theta in the year 2338 by the crew of the USS Tripoli. The discovery of Data lead to arguments and investigations. It was decided by a Federation committee that Data was not a threat and declared him a sentient life form. This gave Data full human rights according to Federation law. Data is not the first creation of Dr Soong. Lore, Data's brother, was created first but his perfection, superiority and arrogance lead to many problems. Data was created as a modified version of Lore. Data was a more acceptable android to the scientific colony. With the help of Lore, a crystalline entity attacked the colony. Lore, who had abandoned all his moral programming, was dismantled. Before Dr Soong escaped the planet, he programmed Data with the information about the attack and the colony but was unable to take Data with him. Data was left on the planet surface inactivated until found and activated by the Tripoli's away team. Data has an ultimate storage capacity of eight hundred quadrillion bits. His total linear computational speed has been rated at sixty trillion operations per second. Data also had a short, intimate relationship with Tasha shortly after the Farpoint mission. Data enjoys painting, dreaming, and spending time with his cat, spot.

Lieutenant Commander Worf - Chief of Security

Joined the Enterprise: Three years after graduation, Worf was assigned to the Enterprise. His first position was at Flight Control (conn) as a Lt., Junior Grade.
Left the Enterprise: After its destruction, to become Chief of Operations on Deep Space 9.
Personal Information: Worf became Chief of Security on the Enterprise after the death of Tasha Yar. His natural parents died in a Romulan attack soon after the alliance between the Federation and the Klingon empire was formed. Worf's adopted father was one of the USS Intrepid's rescue team that arrived at the Khitomer outpost. Worf began a relationship with Deanna after visiting an alternate timeline where they were married. In his free time, Worf enjoyed simulated battles in the holodek and practicing a Klingon form of yoga.

Joined the Enterprise: Picard met La Forge when he was piloting Picard's shuttle on an inspection tour. During the tour, Picard made an offhand remark about an inefficiency in the shuttle's engines. Geordi stayed up all night fixing the problem. Picard was so impressed, he recommended Geordi for a position on the Enterprise D.
Personal Information: Blind at birth, Geordi recieved a Visual Instument and Sight Organ Replacement (VISOR). The VISOR allows the wearer to see the whole spectrum of electromagnetic waves. Both his Mother and Father are Starfleet officers. His father was assaigned to the modine system. His mother, a command officer, served in the Neutral zone before the disappearance of her ship, the USS Hera. Geordi Joined the Enterprise as flight controller (conn), and was subsequently promoted to full Lieutenant and Chief Engineer in 2366. Geordi and Data are best friends. In the past, Geordi has had numerous problems with women in relationships.

Personal Information: Deanna has limited telepathic powers that merely allow her to sense emotions and censations. Deanna's elder sister, Kestra, died in 2337 by lake Elnar after falling in the lake. Deanna's father died in 2343. Lwaxana's dominating personality is a result of her sadness for what has happened and her fear of losing Deanna. Deanna has attended command school and became a counselor for Starfleet, putting her telepathic ability to good use.

Personal Information: Beverly is a widow and the mother of Wesley Crusher, whose father was killed while serving under Picard. Jack and Beverly were married in 2348 and Wesley was born a year later. Beverly and Jack had been married for six years when he died. Picard was very close friends with the Crushers and fell in love with Beverly, but never admitted it to her until years later. Beverly served as head of Starfleet Medical for one year in 2365, before returning to the Enterprise.

Personal Information: Tasha was born on a savage planet led by violent, feuding gangs. Tasha's sister was born in 2342 and later that year their parents were killed in crossfire, leaving Tasha to bring up her sister Ishara. Tasha escaped to Earth in 2352, Ishara chose to stay behind thinking her sister was a traitor and a coward for leaving. Tasha died in 2364 on Vagra II when she was murdered by Armus. In an independant timeline, Tasha went with the Enterprise-C when it returned though a time hole and corrected its timeline. This Tasha was executed in 2349 after trying to escape Romulas. She had agreed to be the consort of a Romulan general in excahnge for the lives of the surviving crew of the Enterprise-C. Tasha had a Romulan daughter, Sela, on Romulus in 2345.
