USS Voyager was one of four new Intrepid Class starships. On its first mission, Voyager was taken to another quadrant in space by a being of great power in space. Also taken from the Alpha Quadrant was a Maquis ship, which joined Voyager and became a part of the crew. The ship's mission is to return to Federation space.

Captain Kathryn Janeway
Race: Human
Hair: Red
Eyes: Brown
Marital Status: Single
Children: None
Other: Kathryn Janeway is a Starfleet Captain who leads
the combined teams of Starfleet and Maquis personnel. She is a
tough Captain, who is not afraid to take chances. While not the
only female Captain in Starfleet, her intelligence,
thoughtfulness, dedication and diplomacy have earned her respect
and recognition as one of the best Starfleet Captains -- male or
female. The daughter of a mathematician mother and an
astrophysicist father, Janeway gained experience in various
science posts through her early career. She brings a greater
familiarity with technology and science to her position than any
other captain we've seen before.
Commander Chakotay
Race: Human
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Marital Status: Single
Children: None
Other: This fearless Captain of the Maquis ship agreed to
become First Officer of the Starship U.S.S. Voyager when his crew
joined forces with the Federation. Chakotay is a member of the
Native American nation that settled on a remote planet near the
Demilitarized Zone in an effort to preserve their cultural
identity. He attended Starfleet Academy and became a Lieutenant
Commander, and was posted to the Merrimac just after the end of
the Cardassian Wars. When his people came under attack by
Cardassians, Chakotay left Starfleet to defend them, joining the
newly-formed Maquis. Chakotay continues his practice of
traditional rituals aboard Voyager. His "spirit guide"
- as yet unrevealed - often guides his decision-making process.
Lieutenant Commander Tuvok
Race: Vulcan
Hair: Black
Eyes: Brown
Marital Status: Married
Children: [?]
Other: Tuvok is the Starfleet Tactical/Security Officer
for the Starship U.S.S. Voyager. His fit and active regimen and
his ability to use his physical skills in battle inspire the
Voyager crew, while his Vulcan equanimity and calm demeanor make
him a valued peace keeper on the ship. Tuvok is one of the most
respected members of the crew, with his powerful combination of
wisdom, experience and vitality. Tuvok and Captain Janeway have
worked together for some time, and have a strong working
relationship based on mutual respect and admiration; one will
often turn to the other for counsel or support.
"Doctor"
Race: Hologram
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Marital Status: Single
Children: None
Other: The Doctor is a holographic figure - an emergency
medical program devised by Starfleet. When the ship's doctor is
killed, he becomes the resident physician aboard the U.S.S.
Voyager. He is programmed with up-to-date medical knowledge and
is capable of treating any disease or injury. The shaped-field
forcebeam projectors in Sickbay, like those on the Holodeck, give
physical substance to the Doctor, allowing him to hold real
objects and perform surgical procedures.
Lieutenant B'Elanna Torres
Race: Half-Human, half-Klingon
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Marital Status: Single
Children: None
Other: Torres is the ship's Chief Engineer. Her Klingon
mother and human father separated when she was quite young; she
was raised by her mother on a remote colony far from the Klingon
Homeworld. A former student at Starfleet Academy, B'Elanna quit
and joined the Maquis. She is tough, knowledgeable and
independent, but her mixed heritage has manifested itself in a
state of confusion and denial. Now that B'Elanna is unable to
release her frustrations through fighting the Cardassians, she
must learn to accept herself and her conflicting heritage.
Ensign Harry Kim
Race: Human
Hair: Black
Eyes: Brown
Marital Status: Single
Children: None
Other: Harry Kim is fresh out of the Starfleet Academy
when he is made the Operations/Communication Officer of the
U.S.S. Voyager. Though he enjoyed a stellar academic career and
welcomes the challenges and adventures of space exploration,
Harry is nervous about living up to his own expectations. Being
lost so far from home is hardest on Harry, who has grown up under
the loving shelter of his parents.
Lieutenant Thomas Eugene Paris
Race: Human
Hair: Blond
Eyes: Brown
Marital Status: Single
Children: None
Other: Tom Paris comes from a proud family of Starfleet
legends: his great-grandfather, grandmother, father, and aunt
were all Admirals. When the pressures of living up to the family
name resulted in tragedy, and Paris was discharged from Starfleet
in disgrace, he turned to the Maquis for fulfillment as a fighter
pilot. This endeavor ended when Paris was captured by the
Federation as a renegade. Taken from prison and given a second
chance by Captain Janeway, Paris boards the U.S.S. Voyager
determined to prove his worth to the Captain and himself.
Seven of Nine

Race: Human, with Borg enhancements

Eyes:
Marital Status: Single
Children: None
Other: Seven is the newest member to join the crew of
Voyager. As a young child, she and her parents were captured and
assimilated by the borg. When she is finally rescued by Captain
Janeway, Seven decides to remain on board and attempt to
rediscover and explore her own humanity, the part of her lost
during her years as a borg. She has now become an indispensible
member of the crew.
