 COURSE DESCRIPTION FOR
COREL WORDPERFECT-ADVANCED

This class description basically covers all versions of WordPerfect.

Do you want to be a WordPerfect wizard? Then this is the course for you. From sharing and working with large documents to creating web pages, this course covers the advanced topics every professional needs to know. You will manage your contacts using the CorelCentral Address Book, use graphics and customize your own WordPerfect environment for maximum efficiency and comfort. The class is instructor-led with hands-on activities. Learn to:

  • Work with TextArt, watermarks, layered drawings and organization charts.
  • Work with a master document and create cross-references, a table of contents and an index.
  • Create a table of authorities, footnotes and endnotes.
  • Create, modify and use an address book.
  • Create and work with SpeedLinks and comments and compare documents.
  • Create Web documents by using the PerfectExpert, Internet Publisher and Trellix.
  • Apply WordPerfect settings and create and customize toolbars.

LENGTH

Approximately eight hours. Recommend two four hour sessions.

PREREQUISITES

You need to understand the basic and intermediate features of WordPerfect (Levels 1 and 2). You must also have a good understanding of basic Microsoft Windows, file management and personal computers.

NECESSARY SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE

  • 16 megabytes (MB) of Random Access Memory (RAM) with a minimum of 180 MB of available hard-disk space for the custom installation.
  • IBM-compatible PC with a 486/66 processor or higher. Check your reference manual for specific hardware setup considerations.
  • Windows 95, 98, or Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 3 (or higher) installed.
  • Microsoft mouse or compatible pointing device.
  • A printer (optional).
