DESCRIPTION FOR
MICROSOFT EXCEL - ADVANCED
This class description basically covers all versions of Excel.

Do you want to become an Excel wizard? This is the perfect
course for you. You will discover advanced techniques to master your workbooks
and automate routine tasks. It is instructor-led with many hands-on activities.
Topics include:
- Customizing toolbars and creating styles and templates.
- Creating decision-making functions.
- Analyzing worksheet data by creating pivot tables.
- Comparing and contrasting workbook files and file links.
- Outlining and consolidating worksheets and analyzing
worksheet data by using the Scenario Manager.
- Displaying and protecting worksheet data by locking cells.
- Recording and modifying macros by using the Visual Basic
Editor.
- Creating and working with interactive Web documents.
LENGTH
Approximately eight hours. Recommend two four hour sessions.
PREREQUISITES
Excel - Introduction or equivalent
knowledge. Specifically, you should know how to work with worksheets, write
formulas and work with workbooks. You must have a good understanding of
basic Microsoft Windows, file management and personal computers.

NECESSARY SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE
- 32 megabytes (MB) of Random Access Memory (RAM) necessary
to run Excel. You will need a minimum of 500 MB of hard-disk space available
for Office 2000 after Windows 98 is installed.
- A Pentium 90 or higher processor.
- Windows 95, 98 or Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 3
(or higher) installed.
- Microsoft Office 2000.
- A local CD-ROM drive or access to a networked CD-ROM
drive.
- A VGA or higher display adapter.
- Microsoft mouse or compatible pointing device.
- A printer (optional). You must have an installed printer
driver to use Print Preview.
