MAKE SENSE OF SALES AND PRODUCT DATA WITH PIVOT TABLES USING EXCEL
DESCRIPTION
This class is a must for any business owner or sales person
who needs to analyze and summarize large amounts of information. Learn all
the ins and outs of one of Excel's most powerful tools, pivot tables. Discover
how to create a chart from a pivot table, modify the pivot table and use
various options to adapt to your information needs. The class is instructor-led
and is full of hands-on activities. You can also bring your own files to
experiment with. Learn to:
- Create a pivot table based on sales data and make the
summary easier to read by grouping data and applying formatting.
- Use pivot tables to answer questions about sales by category
and region by month and use a chart to view the summary graphically.
- Use a pivot table to summarize the performance of sales
representatives.
- Analyze the buying patterns of customers by using pivot
table and a variety of summary functions.
- Use pivot tables to summarize the results of two different
kinds of business surveys.

One four hour session.
PREREQUISITES
Excel - Level 1 or equivalent
knowledge. You must also have a good understanding of basic Microsoft Windows,
file management and personal computers.

NECESSARY SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE
- Windows 95 or Windows 98.
- Excel 97 or Excel 2000.
- An installed printer driver. (Printers are not required;
however, you must have an installed printer driver to use Print Preview.)
