DESCRIPTION FOR
INTERNET EXPLORER - INTRODUCTION
This class description basically covers all versions of Internet
Explorer.

Are you ready to surf the worldwide web? Start your journey
with this informative fun class. You will learn how to browse and find information
as well as communicate with others. The class is instructor-led with hands-on
activities. Learn to:
- Describe the software and hardware required to connect
to the Internet and identify the main components of the Internet Explorer
5.0 window.
- Find Web sites that contain useful information and use
Favorites to mark your favorite sites.
- Use Internet Explorer's Help system to get information
about how to browse more productively.
- Use Outlook Express to send and receive email, as well
as participate in newsgroup discussions.
- Download and unzip zipped files from the Internet and
browse and use files from an FTP site.
- Use the Internet Options dialog box to specify a home
page, control History and change settings for temporary Internet files.
- Personalize the MSN home page and identify other sites
to be used as a home page.
LENGTH
Approximately eight hours. Recommend two four hour sessions.
PREREQUISITES
You need to have a good understanding of basic Microsoft
Windows, file management and personal computers.

- 16 MB of RAM for Windows 95 or Windows 98 and a minimum
