DESCRIPTION FOR
NETSCAPE COMMUNICATOR - INTRODUCTION
This class description basically covers all versions of Netscape
Communicator.

Are you ready to surf the worldwide web? Start your journey
with this informative fun class. Discover how to browse and find information
on the Internet, communicate with others and adjust settings to customize
Netscape. The class is instructor-led with hands-on activities. Learn to:
- Describe the requirements for connecting to the Internet
and identify the components of and navigate in the Netscape Navigator window.
- Use a variety of search techniques to find Web sites
that contain useful information.
- Use bookmarks to maintain links to particularly useful
sites.
- Customize the Netscape Navigator environment by working
with My Sidebar, the Personal toolbar and themes.
- Communicate with other Internet users by using Netscape
Mail and the Personal Address Book.
- Communicate instantly with coworkers and friends by using
Netscape Instant Messenger.
LENGTH
Approximately eight hours. Recommend two four hour sessions.
PREREQUISITES
You need to have a good understanding of basic Microsoft
Windows, file management and personal computers.

NECESSARY SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE
- A Pentium, 133 MHz or higher processor.
- A minimum of 32 MB of RAM.

- A compatible pointing device.
