DESCRIPTION FOR
MANAGE YOUR TIME EFFECTIVELY USING OUTLOOK 98
Throw away your paper dayplanner and little scraps of paper
with notes, reminders and addresses. Did you know Outlook has many features
to help you manage and organize your life? Outlook lets you manage all your
critical information in one place to reduce typing, save time and increase
productivity. The class is instructor-led with lots of hands-on activities.
Learn to:
- Approach your day from a different perspective.
- Analyze your day and understand the importance of entering
activities into the TaskPad and scheduling appointments.
- Create automatic and manual Journal entries to keep track
of daily activities.
- Organize personal and professional items in personal
folders, public folders and personal distribution lists.
- Recognize the benefits of scheduling appointments for
yourself, creating different types of events, selecting a template for
repeated use of a format, customizing a message form to add preferred field
information and attaching an existing message to a new message.

PREREQUISITES
Outlook - Level 1, Windows
- Introduction and Word - Level 1. You also need to have a good
understanding of basic Microsoft Windows, file management and personal computers.

NECESSARY SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE
- An IBM or IBM-compatible computer equipped with Microsoft
Outlook 98 and Microsoft Office 97.
- A user profile and permission status to create public
folders in Outlook 98.
- A connection to a Microsoft Exchange 5.5. Server.
