COURSE DESCRIPTION FOR
CREATE UNIQUE DESIGN EFECTS FOR YOUR POWERPOINT SLIDES USING PHOTOGRAPHS
DESCRIPTION
This class is a must for all photography and PowerPoint
lovers. Add the personal touch to your PowerPoint presentations with photography
for memorable presentations. The class is instructor-led and is full of
hands-on activities. You can also bring your own files to experiment with.
Learn to:
- Add photos to a presentation using the Insert, Picture
command.
- Use a photo as a slide background using the Format, Background
command.
- Overlay photos onto chart markers.
- Fill drawn objects with photos using the Format AutoShape
dialog box.
- Create vertical title and picture bands using drawn objects
with fill effects.
LENGTH
One four hour session.
PREREQUISITES
PowerPoint - Introduction or
equivalent knowledge. You must also have a good understanding of basic Microsoft
Windows, file management and personal computers.

NECESSARY SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE
- An IBM or IBM-compatible equipped with PowerPoint 97
(or higher) or a Macintosh equipped with PowerPoint 98.
- Access to the photographs that come with Office. (To
install the photos on the Office 97 CD-ROM, open the folder named Clipart.
Run setup.exe to access the Clip Art Extra Setup dialog box. Choose Custom
and then select Photos. If you're using PowerPoint 2000 on the CD-ROM containing
Shared Clipart, do a custom installation; under Office Tools, set Clip
Gallery to Run From My Computer.)
- A digital camera to transfer pictures from or access
to digital photos (from another software application, scanner, photo CD-ROM,
the Web or other sources).
