DELIVER PRESENTATIONS TO THE WEB USING POWERPOINT 2000
DESCRIPTION
Share your spectacular PowerPoint presentations with others.
Discover all the techniques needed to customize and publish a presentation
to the Web or an Internet site. The class is instructor-led and is full
of hands-on activities. You can also bring your own files to experiment
with. Learn to:
- Publish a presentation to the Web and preview it in a
Web browser.
- Customize the appearance of your presentation in a Web
browser.
- Work with Web graphics and animation.
- Add hyperlinks to your Web presentation.
- Make your Web presentation available to others.

One four hour session.
PREREQUISITES
PowerPoint 97 or 2000 - Introduction or have equivalent knowledge. You also need to have a good understanding
of basic Microsoft Windows, file management and personal computers.

Lab Activity 1: Publish a presentation to the Web
Open the existing presentation
Save the presentation as a Web page
Preview the presentation in a Web browser
Lab Activity 2: Customize the appearance of your presentation
in a Web browser
Add speaker notes to the presentation
Hide speaker notes and change the text and background colors
Insert a new slide
Preview and update the file

Link graphics from a file
Specify an alternate text description for a graphic on a Web page
Animate a chart and text
Insert action buttons into your presentation and define a hyperlink

NECESSARY SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE
- An IBM or IBM-compatible computer equipped with Microsoft
Office 2000 which includes PowerPoint 2000 and Windows Explorer.
- Internet Explorer 4.0 or later and an email program preferably
Microsoft Outlook.
- An established connection to the Internet.
