COURSE DESCRIPTION FOR
MOVING FROM WORDPERFECT TO WORD (ADVANCED TOPICS)

DESCRIPTION

Are you a WordPerfect expert making the move to Word? This class will show you tricks to automate Word to streamline all your repetitive tasks. You will also explore techniques to create great looking tables. It is instructor-led with plenty of hands-on activities. Learn to:

  • Create, modify and format tables.
  • Create, modify and print AutoText entries.
  • Merge a document with data to create multiple variations of the document.
  • Create, run and change macros.
  • Format text in columns and insert graphics.

LENGTH

One four hour session.

PREREQUISITES

No prior knowledge of Microsoft Word is required, but you need to have an intermediate knowledge of WordPerfect as well as an advanced understanding of word processing concepts. You must also have a good understanding of basic Microsoft Windows, file management and personal computers.

NECESSARY SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE

  • 12 megabytes (MB) of Random Access Memory (RAM) if you are using Word for Windows. See your reference manual for specific hardware considerations.
  • A printer is optional; however, you will need to have an installed printer
