Notes

In the end, the lack of an effective ground game was the factor that kept Central Florida from its dream of an upset of the Tigers. As expected, UCF QB Ryan Schneider showed great poise as he passed for 297 yards against an untested Tiger secondary.

UCF did their best to contain Woody Dantzler and was relatively effective in keeping him under 50 yards rushing for the day. He did finish the day with 1 TD pass to Zachery and a 16 yard scamper into the endzone to put the Tigers up for good in the second quarter. The play of the day was attributed to offensive coodinator Brad Scott's son, Jeff, who ran a fake field goal 22 yards for the Tigers third and final touchdown.

Defensively, Clemson showed the bend-but-don't-break defense. They allowed only 2 touchdowns and avoided the big plays.
