Otis D. Street (1920-2005)
Otis D. Street born July 15, 1920 in Atlanta, GA. He served Jesus Christ in the Salvation Army most of his life after being "saved" at an "open air" Salvation Army meeting. The Salvation Army use to have services on street conners in large cities. You could hear their band playing and their preaching one Sunday nights if you were to visit the inter-cities back in the 1950's. I am not sure if they have any "open-air" meetings any more. He retired from the Salvation Army about 20 years before his death but he continued to be active with them until months before his death. He passed away Oct. 28, 2005 at his daughter June's home in Pensacola, FL. He was buried at West View Cemetery near Atlanta, GA. His wife Hazel passed away Oct. 31, 2006 in Pensacola, FL.
