Impressive Gardens: Butchart, Victoria B.C.

Sunken
Garden, 1996
Even
though I'm not into the whole "flower" thing, these
gardens outside of Victoria are a definite must! It's an amazing
collection of flowers, plants and trees, all arranged in perfect
order. The many vibrant colors blend in nicely with the vivid
greens commonly found in the Northwest (thanks to all the rain,
of course!). However, be prepared to do battle with the other
tourists who line up along the narrow walking paths, positioning
themselves for that perfect Kodak moment. To get there, take
one of the many double-decker bus tours that leave from Victoria.
When you return, be sure to have afternoon tea with the locals
at Murchies, which is about 1/10 the price of the Empress Hotel's
High Tea and a lot more laid-back!
