Vision: To expand the capacity trust, in organizations, communities and
societies at large.

|
| TrustNet
has emerged through the shared beliefs of
its founding members that there is a
compelling need to advance trust in
organizations, communities, and society
at large. The founders have, therefore,
come together to conceive and create the
TrustNet organization with the sole
purpose of meeting this need. At present
TrustNet is in formative stage and the
founders are engaged in discussions with
trusted colleagues to get feedback and
advice on the TrustNet vision, scope of
activities, and sources of revenue. |

Five
activities are included at this time in
TrustNet.
1. Strategic Advisory Services:
Industry level analysis of trust, trust
maintenance and interventions to preserve
trust.
2. Enterprise Design Laboratory:
Rapid assessment and improvement of trust
among entrepreneurs and Venture
capitalists.
3. Multi-disciplinary synthesis of
research from various disciplines
including psychology, sociology,
management science, anthropology,
economics, political science, conflict
management and also technology (internet,
security, privacy).
4. Organizational Trust Workshops:
an environment and tools that CEOs can
use to understand and improve the trust
climate of his/her organization.
5. Design Principles for Socio-Technical
Systems: Considering the rapid
evolution of technological systems
achieving greater levels of
intentionality and self-initiative,
and the deeper participation of
such systems in social communities,
we are focusing on design
principles that would lead to explicit
trust measurement and
monitoring.
6. Experimental study of the dynamics of trust:
We are aiming to construct a multiplayer online trust game. By logging all trust events along with their time stamps, we hope to learn about the dynamic and temporal aspects of trust building and betrayal. This is a field with little or no studies at this time. Hopefully it opens up a whole new way of studying trust.
ONLINE
TRUST GAME: To turn on hyperbole, we
call this the Million Person Online
Trust Game. Imagine an online trust
environment where people can participate
in trust-making and trust-breaking
activities; imagine ongoing trust level
feedback. Imagine a million of us in
various games. Imagine those interested
in primary research conducting
experiments to deepen our understanding
of the Dynamics of Trust. This is
intended to be a radically innovative
platform for doing research. Link to Ontrust website
TRUST
WORKSHOPS: Primarily aimed at Chief
Executives and their immediate circle of
executives of both for-profit and non-profit
organizations, with the objective of
gaining greater awareness of trust, its
role and impact on the business and
various business partners. These workshop
include one of the most comprehensive
frameworks for types of trust and simple
to administer measurement instruments for
trust.
