Martha Todd Williams-Bumpers

Photo of Martha Todd Williams-Bumpers, taken in the late 1940s or early 1950s, in Jackson, Clarke County Alabama. Martha was born April between 1860 and 1864, to Hannah Williams and John Todd, in Lower Peach Tree, Wilcox County Alabama. She passed away, May 1961, in Jackson, Alabama. She married Robert "Bob" Bumpers, son of Robert Bumpers and Hannah Cato, in 1893.

Martha's children were, Alberta Pugh Bumpers, September 1889-September 9, 1979, Nathaniel "Buck" Bumpers, August 26, 1894-February 1978, Willie S. Bumpers, Sr., January 1895-January 1975, Earnest Bumpers, December 20, 1897-February 1978, Connie Bumpers, January 1, 1899-April 10, 1978, Alice "Blondie" Bumpers, January 1900-between 1910 and 1920, Sadie Bumpers, February 3, 1903-April 4, 1953, Ollie Bumpers, August 24, 1904-November 14, 1979, Annie Mae Bumpers, June 28, 1906-April 20, 1993, Allie Mae Bumpers, 1911-unknown and Hannah Bumpers, the baby of them all, 1913-October 6, 1955.

Martha have numerous grandchildren, and too many great grandchildren to keep up with. I am trying to locate as many descendants as I can. If you recognize any of these names, please feel free to email me, and let me know. She also came from a large family. She had thirteen sisters and brothers, who shared the same mother, and an unknown amount of siblings from her father, John Todd's side. Children of her mother, Hannah Williams are; Martha Lindsey Todd Williams-Bumpers, William Caves, Mary Ella Pike-Coats, Jesse Williams, Sarah Williams-Malone, Gus Hurd, Tucker Titus, Carrie Williams-Campbell-Cone, Georgia Williams-Todd (Georgia and Carrie were twins), Pinkie R. Hayes, Alice Morgan, Buddy Williams and Eddie Williams. Buddy and Eddie are believed to moved to New Orleans, Louisiana in the 1890s. The family saw them at one of the sister's funeral, but never heard from them again. Much research has been done to find them, but no luck at all. They had very common names, and with no dates to go with the names, it is next to impossible to locate any living descendants, they may have. Just in case someone do know of these names, please contact email me.

Also, her childen passed away in Mobile County Alabama, Clarke County Alabama and Alameda County California. They are buried in different places. I only know where five of them are buried and they are; Alberta Pugh Bumpers, who is buried in Whispering Pines Cemetery, Ollie and Buck Bumpers are buried in Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Coffeeville. Sadie Bumpers in buried in Coffeeville, and I believe Allie Mae Bumpers is buried in Plateau Cemetery, in Magazine Point. If anyone know the location of any other cemetery they others are buried in, please let me know.
