Hells Bells 390th BG tribute page

My Uncle Jack was known as Johnny R. Enlow in the 568th squadron of the 390th Bomb group 8th Air Force as a Top turret/Flight Engineer. I'm very happy to have recieved these new pictures....untill very recently I have never seen any photos of my Uncle during his time with the Mighty Eighth!

Andy Archiopoli "Archie" the "Hell's Belles" Bombardier is a real swell guy! I found his phone number on a internet search so I called....His hearing wasn't so great but he asked "who the hell is this?" and I said "Did you fly with my Uncle Johnny R. in the 8th Air Force with the B-17 Hell's Belles?" and the first thing he said was "Is that SOB still alive!?!" and we talked for about one hour and I gave him my Uncles Number ...I heard later they talked for over an hour that same day....That made me feel pretty darn good. turns out that they were good pals back then and that Archie played pro Baseball for two years in New York before he was drafted and after the war played for the New York Police Department and served as an officer for 25 years! they just don't make them like that anymore.

The B-17 called Frenesi. My Uncle flew on a few missions on this aircraft.

My Uncle Johnny R with some of Air Force pals.
