Ted became convinced about the authenticity of UFOs during a period in his life when he had time for contemplation. It was 1989, and he was recovering from an accident in a metallurgy laboratory that nearly cost his eyesight. It was a life-changing experience that led him to re-evaluate who he was and his position in the cosmos.

After studying the UFO phenomenon in depth, and talking with numerous people around the world, he felt the public needed this information. In 1991, he created UFOAZ Talks, a weekly, one-hour live television program. Eventually, the program was broadcast in ten states and more than thirty cities.

Ted has been a guest on radio and television programs around the country including Today, Larry King Live, CNN Report, Geraldo Show, and Close Encounters (an A&E special).

The television documentaries Ted produced include Canyonlands of Utah, The Robert Moody Trial, The History of APRO, Up Close & Personal with Drunvalo Melchizedek, Egyptian Mysteries, Extraterrestrial Contact, and his current documentary project, It Fell From the Sky. He also produced two talk radio programs in Tucson.

The awards Ted won as producer of UFOAZ Talks include Best First Time Producer, Best Live Television Show, and Non-Local Series of the Year.
