Above is Smokey Mountain Plastics they are located half way down a steep grade as you descend down into Canal Junction. They receive one or two tank cars a week along with covered hoppers to export the pellets to various companies.

This building is the New York Freight House at Canal Junction. This company receives the most commerce down on this branch line. They deal in general freight.

We decided to take a pass by Canal Junction to see if there was any switching going on. Our luck is working for us again to see a 44 Toner switching out cars down by American Mill Works. The little 44 toner was busy this day as it took the crane out of Alberts Scrap Yard and over to the repair shop to get a new generator.
