To try to preserve some of the local ecotype of
these grasses, seeds have been collected from the highways and
by-ways of Franklin County, Missouri, where they can be found in
isolated patches. Our farm is being revegetated with plants from
these seeds, and some potted specimens are available from our
backyard nursery.
You can contact us for a visit,or see them at the
Shaw Arboretum Annual Wildflower Sale on a Saturday in May, 2003.
