The Victory Hotel was built in 1894, primarily as a hunting lodge.
Although the hotel has been primarily a hunting lodge for the past several years, it is now open year round.
It is THE Central Location to enjoy the many recreational and historical sites in the Northwest corner of Colorado.
Day trips include Brown's Park, which includes Vermillion Falls, Irish Canyon, Gates of Lodore, and Swinging Bridge, to name a few. It is also the home of Brown's Hole, an historic refuge for many notorious outlaws such as Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, Isom Dart, Tom Horn, Ezra Lay and several other characters just outside the law.
Other day trips might include rafting, fishing, hiking,
4 wheeling, and boating on the many lakes & rivers in our area. Located only 60 miles from Utah, and 40 miles from Wyoming, the hotel is close to many points of interest in the tri-state area, including the town of Dinosaur, Dinosaur monument & canyonlands, which house the Dinosaur bone digs.
Cliff Ridge is a world class hang-gliding area & has hosted many major competitions.
Whether you are a Hunter, Fisherman, Hiker, Rafting Enthusiast, history buff, or just want to get away and enjoy the beauty of wildlife or the serenity of just being in the great outdoors, the Old Victory Hotel THE only place to stay. Enjoy the peaceful ambiance of this historic Victorian facility once, and you'll come back for years to come.
