Description:
The Atlas 610 can be used with most televisions to create a color magnification system that best suits an individual's unique needs. The Atlas 610 can be used with any television that has a standard NTSC composite video connection (the type of connection used to connect VCRs) to produce a full-color, true-to-life CCTV magnification system. When the Atlas 610 is connected to a television/monitor by way of an S-Video connection, the Atlas 610 produces a full-color, true-to-life as well as a color select CCTV magnification system.
The Atlas 610 AutoFocus gives the user two choices for focusing an image: Continuous automatic focus for greatest ease, and manual focus override for optimum adjustment.
In addition to full color, the Atlas 610 displays your printed materials in high-contrast black text on white and white text on black. The white text on black (or negative image) is ideal for reading text because there is less glare. The Atlas 610 (when used with an S-Video TV connection) has four background/foreground color combinations for viewing printed materials. This feature allows an individual to choose the best colors for his/her particular visual needs. The user can adjust the brightness or intensity of the picture for different lighting conditions.
The Atlas 610 base can be used with S-Video monitors, and NTSC (TV) monitors. A 20", 80 lbs/36kg monitor can be placed directly on the Atlas 610 when the optional Monitor Tray is utilized. The Atlas 610 features a large, 15.6" x 16.4" (39.6cm wide x 41.7cm deep), smooth non-glare platform, which permits reading heavy books. The viewing area of this platform permits reading a full sheet of paper without repositioning. In addition, a large, easy-to-operate lever allows the reader to partially or totally lock the position of the reading table. This feature makes it easier to read horizontal lines and to write. The table also features adjustable drag and margin stops.
