2. Willis² Davis (Father of Willis¹) was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL 17 MAY 1846. Willis died 10 MAR 1917 in Venice, Pike Co., IL, at 70 years of age. His body was interred 11 MAR 1917 in Venice, Pike Co., IL, Greenpond Cemetery.

He married Amanda M. Unknown in Venice, Pike Co., IL, 1868. Amanda was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL February 1, 1847. Amanda was the daughter of Father of Amanda Unknown and Mother of Amanda Unknown. Amanda died September 25, 1907 in Venice, Pike Co., IL, at 60 years of age. Her body was interred 26 SEP 1907 in Venice, Pike Co., IL, Greenpond Cemetery.

Willis Davis and Amanda M. Unknown had the following children:

5 iii. Ina Alice Davis was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL 1882. Ina died 1963 in Granite City, Madison Co., IL, at 81 years of age. Her body was interred 1963 in Greenpond, Pike County, IL. She married Alvin Butler in Buckhorn, Montezuma Twnshp, Pike County, IL, March 20, 1898. Alvin was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL June 16, 1874. Alvin was the son of Zacharia Taylor Butler and Susan Lane. Alvin died 1948 at 74 years of age. His body was interred 1948 in Greenpond, Pike County, IL. 6 iv. Ada Mae Davis was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL January 1885. She married Albert Vincent Wilson. Albert was born in Philadelphia, PA. (See Albert Vincent Wilson for the continuation of this line.)

7 v. Clayton L. Davis was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL February 1891.
