4. Darius² Butler (William Andrew¹) was born in KY August 24, 1809. Darius died 10 September 1858 in Martinsburg Twp., Pike Co., IL, at 49 years of age.

He married Elizabeth Buer in Venice, Pike Co., IL, October 15, 1835. Elizabeth was born in KY 19 December 1814. Elizabeth died 22 December 1855 in Martinsburg Twp., Pike Co., IL, at 41 years of age.

Darius Butler and Elizabeth Buer had the following children:

17 i. Thomas Jefferson³ Butler was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL October 26, 1836. Thomas died November 11, 1861 in Cairo, IL, at 25 years of age.

+ 18 ii. William Henry Butler was born 14 NOV 1838.

+ 19 iii. James Ira Butler was born 11 SEP 1840.

20 iv. Sara Frances Butler was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL August 20, 1841. Sara died 11 August 1858 at 16 years of age. Her body was interred 13 August 1858 in Venice, Pike Co., IL, Burbridge Cemetery.

21 v. Mary Jane Butler was born in Martinsburg Twp., Pike Co., IL 3 December 1842.

22 vi. Sophia Elizabeth Butler was born in Martinsburg Twp., Pike Co., IL 22 AUG 1846. Sophia died 2 SEP 1899 at 53 years of age. She married Henry Ferguson 1870. Henry was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL 1841. Henry died 1897 at 56 years of age. (See Henry Ferguson for the continuation of this line.)

+ 23 vii. Joshua Newton Butler was born 10 OCT 1848.

24 viii. Nancy Margaret Butler was born in Martinsburg Twp., Pike Co., IL 16 NOV 1850. Nancy died 11 FEB 1924 at 73 years of age.

25 ix. Lucebra Butler was born in Martinsburg Twp., Pike Co., IL 8 MAR 1853. Lucebra died 22 July 1901 at 48 years of age. She married Irvin Davis Webster in Pleasant Hill, Pike Co., IL, 31 December 1879.

26 x. Cassandra Butler was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL 5 DEC 1855. Cassandra died 12 DEC 1935 in Modesto, CA, at 80 years of age. She married Samuel Clark. (See Samuel Clark for the continuation of this line.)
