23. Joshua Newton³ Butler (Darius², William Andrew¹) was born in Martinsburg Twp., Pike Co., IL 10 OCT 1848. Joshua died 7 MAR 1936 in Victorville, CA, at 87 years of age. His body was interred March 1936 in Whittier, CA, Rose Hill Cemetary, Whittier, CA.

He married Emma Dora Arnold 1890. Emma was born in Springfield, IL 20 October 1855. Emma died 8 February 1929 in Victorville, CA, at 73 years of age.

Joshua Newton Butler and Emma Dora Arnold had the following children:

+ 58 i. Newton Nye⁴ Butler was born 21 February 1892.

59 ii. Martha Alice Butler was born in Pahranagut Valley, NV 21 August 1897. Martha died 30 April 1961 in Victorville, CA, at 63 years of age. She married twice. She married Father of M. L. Crinnion. (See Father of M. L. Crinnion for the continuation of this line.) She married Husband of M. A. Butler Weaver.
