3. Jeremiah² Briscoe (Ira¹) was born in Danville, Boyle Co., KY Mar 30, 1823. Jeremiah died Mar 21, 1868 in Venice, Pike Co., IL, at 44 years of age.

He married Rue Ann Ferguson in McDonough Co., IL, Nov 21, 1850. Rue was born 1832. Rue died 1867 at 35 years of age.

Jeremiah Briscoe and Rue Ann Ferguson had the following children:

12 i. Henry³ Briscoe was born 1845.

13 ii. Elizabeth Briscoe was born 1848. She married John F. Barry in Venice, Pike Co., IL, May 10, 1887.

14 iii. Mary Ellen Briscoe was born 1851. She married Albert G. Mitchell Jan 21, 1885.

15 iv. Thomas Briscoe was born in Martinsburg Twp., Pike Co., IL Jul 6, 1857. Thomas died Mar 17, 1928 in Martinsburg Twp., Pike Co., IL, at 70 years of age. He married Ella A. Sapp in IL, Jun 5, 1884. Ella was born Jun 6,1861. Ella died Nov 8, 1939 in Venice, Pike Co., IL, at 78 years of age.

16 v. Rida Briscoe was born 1858. She married name unknown York.
