10. William Franklin³ Long (Abner Nelson², Robert¹) was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL 21 March 1837. William died 25 June 1915 at 78 years of age.

He married Charlotte Hatcher in Venice, Pike Co., IL, 14 June 1857. Charlotte was born in VA 11 January 1838. Charlotte died 23 February 1900 at 62 years of age.

William Franklin Long and Charlotte Hatcher had the following children:

11 i. Ida Mae⁴ Long. Ida died 30 August 1951. She married Irving Hollanger. (See Irving Hollanger for the continuation of this line.)

12 ii. Lavina Blanche Long. She married twice. She married C. E. Hatcher. (See C. E. Hatcher for the continuation of this line.) She married Husband of L. B. Long Anderson.

+ 13 iii. John F. Long was born 27 September 1858.

+ 14 iv. William Edgar Long was born 23 September 1861.

15 v. Emily Jessie Etna Belle Long was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL 19 JUL 1864. Emily died 27 NOV 1893 in Venice, Pike Co., IL, at 29 years of age. She married George Washington Butler in Venice, Pike Co., IL, 29 OCT 1884. George was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL Mar, 1844. George was the son of William Andrew Butler Jr. and Harriet Chandler. George died 23 April 1932 in Venice, Pike Co., IL, at 88 years of age. (See George Washington Butler for the continuation of this line.)

16 vi. Sarah Josephine Long was born 27 June 1866. Sarah died 20 January 1938 at 71 years of age. She married James Robert Ligon 15 May 1888. James was born 6 November 1863. James died 24 January 1939 at 75 years of age. (See James Robert Ligon for the continuation of this line.)

+ 17 vii. Joseph Harrison Long was born 14 January 1868.

18 viii. Annie Elizabeth Long was born 7 June 1872. Annie died 13 July 1875 at 3 years of age.

19 ix. Una Ellen Long was born 8 October 1875. Una died 21 January 1947 at 71 years of age. She married three times. She married Charles Ligon 15 September 1893. Charles was born 16 November 1869. (See Charles Ligon for the continuation of this line.) She married Soloman T. Johnston. Soloman was born 12 November 1837. Soloman died 1916 at 78 years of age. (See Soloman T. Johnston for the continuation of this line.) She married Wesley Ottwell 9 September 1924. Wesley was born 21 August 1878. Wesley died 6 September 1945 at 67 years of age.

20 x. Margaret Pearl Long was born 13 June 1877. Margaret died 20 April 1952 at 74 years of age. She married John F. Maynard. John was born 13 November 1876. John died 1 November 1946 at 69 years of age. (See John F. Maynard for the continuation of this line.)
