1. Daniel¹ Capps was born in TN 1805.

He married Sarelda Butler in Venice, Pike Co., IL, 29 JAN 1836. Sarelda Butler was born in KY 1815. Sarelda Butler was the daughter of William Andrew Butler and Jane Richardson. Sarelda Butler died 23 June 1886 in Venice, Pike Co., IL, at 70 years of age. Her body was interred 25 June 1886 in Venice, Pike Co., IL, Burbridge Cemetery.

Daniel Capps and Sarelda Butler had the following children:

2 i. Nancy² Capps was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL 1837.

3 ii. William H. Capps was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL 1838.

4 iii. Rachel Capps was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL 1840.

5 iv. Moria Capps was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL 1841.

6 v. Bathena Capps was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL 1843.

7 vi. Fanny Malinda Capps was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL 23 March 1845. Fanny died 27 November 1920 in Fauber Audrain Co., MO, at 75 years of age. She married Robert Hardin Goodin in Venice, Pike Co., IL, 25 March 1863. Robert was born in Martinsburg Twp., Pike Co., IL 19 July 1845. Robert was the son of Alexander Virtchworth Goodin and Cerrilda America Grant. Robert died 11 May 1933 at 87 years of age. (See Robert Hardin Goodin for the continuation of this line.)

8 vii. Lucinda Capps was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL 1847.

9 viii. George W. Capps was born in Venice, Pike Co., IL 1849.
