1. Joseph¹ Hardin was born 18 April 1737. Joseph died 6 June 1801 at 64 years of age.

He married Jane Gibson in VA, 1760. Jane was born 1742. Jane died 25 March 1817 at 74 years of age.

Joseph Hardin and Jane Gibson had the following children:

2 i. Rebecca² Hardin. She married Ninian Steele. (See Ninian Steele for the continuation of this line.)

3 ii. Jane Ann Hardin was born in VA 1764. Jane died 25 March 1817 in Saline Co., MO, at 52 years of age. She married Alexander Virtchworth Goodin in TN, 1784. Alexander was born in Culpepper Co., VA 24 December 1762. Alexander was the son of Benjamin Goodin and Jane Virtchworth. Alexander died 1 April 1844 in Henry Co., MO, at 81 years of age.
