Rocketry at the Ballunar
Festival was a big hit
We were a bigger success
this year than ever before! Congratulations to all that helped the
Club put on a big show! Even though we had some glitches (FAA dropped
the waiver down from 3500 to 1500 feet, and when we got it raised back
to 3500 feet no one had a rocket ready to use the altitude, equipment that
was too big to haul back and forth on the field, club members with less
experience than we should have had in using the equipment, some under-powered
rockets, a cluster with a motor that did not light, and a cramped
display area), the public only saw a great presentation! There were lots
of large rockets flown on F,G,H, and even an I motor as well as a 5 engine
cluster on a Saturn 5, and several smaller rockets and "Wacky Wockets".
The Airboss of the show gave us great compliments and challenged us to
be even bigger and better next year!
These pictures captured from video tape and may be somewhat blurry...
sorry.
What a crowd! - Rockets

The kids had a great time
