460 Songs for your PSR-2000/1000
-- that's like 23 CD's of music! |
Not only can you create beautiful music on your PSR-2000, you can capture your creations in a Song file. You can also download songs that other PSR owners have
created and listen to their performance right on your own keyboard. That is precisely what this section provides -- hundreds of songs that you can hear played on your PSR keyboard. Click on the any of the
PSR Performer links shown on the left side of this page to go to their page, read about the performer, and download his/her latest songs. Song Volumes. Each of the PSR performers has contributed one or more "volumes" of 10 songs you can play on your PSR-2000. Most of these performers even recorded
their songs on the PSR-2000. You'll hear an amazing variety of sounds and songs and playing techniques, many of which will give you ideas you can use in your own playing.
You may also be surprised at the wide spectrum of people who play and enjoy the Yamaha arranger keyboards. Some play by ear, some sight read their music, some use the full-fingered chord technique, some use only single-finger chords, some perform in public,
others just play at home, but in all cases, they produce some wonderful music indeed. Each performer's page has a short biography and photograph of the player. You may now have a
chance to put a face to a name you are familiar with from the various discussion forums..Each volume can be downloaded in a single zip file. Earlier volumes are available in the song Archive.
Play These on your Keyboard! These songs, all midi files, should be played on your PSR keyboard. You can play then on your PC, but the voices will not match the sound that is on the
PSR-2000 keyboard and the results will be generally disappointing. Download the file, unzip it, and copy the songs to a floppy disk. Put take that floppy disk in your PSR. There, you will hear the songs
just as the performer recorded them. Make Your Own Tape or CD
. One final suggestion ... if you connect your keyboard to your stereo and play these songs using the Chain Play option, you can record the volume right to a cassette. That way, you can take your PSR
music with you wherever you go. Of course, if you have a CD player in your car instead of a cassette deck, the process will be a bit more complex! But even so,
some PSR owners have used these files to create CDs of PSR music. About two volumes (20 songs) can fill up a single CD.
A special thanks to Paul Tumelty
who very generously allowed us to use his web site to store these song files.
