Bold-faced lies may be something
the mayor is quite familiar with.
Two examples that spring immediately
to mind:
Mayor Douglas Marchionda Jr.
claimed the village never discussed snowmobiles in the executive
session held during the village board meeting of January 27,
2004 (quoted in a June 22, 2004 article in the Finger Lakes
Times), even though the board was overheard discussing
snowmobiles during this executive session.
Mayor Douglas Marchionda Jr. claims not to know
how Penn Yan resident Robert Hawley would have seen his pistol
permit application, where he listed himself as Vice-President
of his father's company. (February 23, 2005 Finger Lakes
Times article.)*

was never Vice President of the family's trucking company
