eldom does an artist spend a lifetime devoted
to a single theme or subject matter. W.D."Bill" Gaither's life, has revolved around nature and the wildlife he loves. While thousands of words have been writen about this complex, yet simple man, there is one word that perhaps best describes both him and his work, and that is enthusiasm.
His life has been one of adventure since his
youth. Never content to dream of new worlds and adventures, nor impressed by his long list of accomplishments. Although he has traveled to more than one hundred countries or possessions and all fifty of the United States, his life is still driven by pursuit of the new and unknown.
He has collected most of the world's big game
and caught nearly all the gamefish. His science background has allowed for keen observations during his trips afield, many of which have become documented by his articulate writings.
Gaither's art has graced the walls and shelves
of thousands of homes around the world. His work in gold and silver, bronze and porcelain have been acclaimed by many discriminating collectors. His watercolor and oil paintings are a standard for the bold look of modern wildlife art. |
