What power does Jesus have ?

Rom 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."

The truth is Jesus was put to death on the cross and on the third day rose from the dead proving the power of God to save others. Do we really understand the power of Christ? What does Jesus have the power to do?

Jesus has the power to search out the souls of all people!

Jer. 17:10 "I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings."

When we even think of Jesus it searches us and examines us. He pierces deep down into our minds, our hearts and even our very souls. When we study about Jesus we are challenged in the most extraordinary way that is spiritually. That's why people don't sit around and talk about Jesus.

Rev. 1:14 " His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters."

This verse tell, us of his deep searching like flames of fire. He knows all about us! Ours sins our failures, even all those deep, dark thing we keep hidden from prying eyes and conversation. Only Christ has the power to search out the very souls of men. He knows what we love, what we hate, what we allow into our lives. To him nothing is hidden. The woman at the well was an open book to the eyes of Jesus. Go call thy husband, he said.

Jesus has the power to save people from their sinful selves!

No mortal man can make the claims that Jesus made and then back up those claims. Only Jesus Christ our Lord has the power and authority to forgive us of all our sin!

Matt.9:6-7 "But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. And he arose, and departed to his house.

Some argued with his power to forgive sin that day but were put to shame when the paralyzed man took up his bed and walked out of that place with his sins all forgiven! Arguing, doubting, or resisting Jesus is vain and futile. I wonder how many of those unbelieving men are in hell today? EVERYONE ONE THAT WOULD NOT REPENT! Do we really understands that no matter how bad weve been or how bad it is, Jesus has the power to save us. Jesus will never fail. Jesus has failed no one that has ever turned to him. His word has the authority and power to help us. The word of God speaks to our very souls leading use to believe with a personal faith in the power of Christ to forgive all our sin!

Jesus has the power to satisfy us!

I enjoy nature and its beauty. I like to take pictures to remember the sights. I enjoy the wonderful scenes that God allows me to enjoy, but they give us no answer to faith. There are even many voices in history that have spoken that we could think about, but the vain ideas of men cannot satisfy us! Even looking within ourselves is confusing and full of all kinds of contradictions. But turning by faith to Jesus always is 100% of the time the answer.

Matt. 11:28 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light"

Coming to Jesus is the best thing that weary and restless mankind can do about life and eternity. What an awesome thing to consider and do! I can share the satisfying SAVIOR with all confidence in his power to save and help you too! Believing in Jesus is where real life is at. Believe me I know! I tried it without him for over twenty years!

In these three things Jesus is so appealing to us. He has the power to search out our very souls! He has the power to save us from all our sin! He has the power to give us a satisfying and meaningful life!

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Call upon him today and find a brand new life in Him!

GOD'S PLAN OF SALVATION!!!

For the wages of sun is death... Romans 6:23
and sin, when it is finished. bringeth forth death.
James 1:15

THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO SAVE YOURSELF!

You cannot be good enough. There is none that doeth good, no not one. Keeping the law cannot save you Romans 3:12. Joining the church and being baptized will not even help save you. By the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Galatians 2:16
You are helpless. You cannot save yourself.

HERE IS THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL!

In spite of your sin, God loves you and has done everything necessary for your salvation. For when we were yet without strength (helpless), in due time Christ died for the ungodly. Romans 5:6 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: I Peter 3:18

JUST BELIEVING INTELLECTUALLY YOU ARE A SINNER OR THAT
GOD LOVES YOU IS NOT ENOUGH!

You must apply this to yourself personally by repenting and receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as your own Saviour.
Repentance is a change of mind brought to your heart by the Holy Spirit through God's Word. It causes you to turn from your sins dead religion and works to trust Christ alone.
Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Luke 13:3 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: John 1:12 ...
All men... (Acts 17:30) are commanded to repent. Therefore, all men can repent.
Don't put this off - do it now! Now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. II Corinthians 6:2

Seek ye the Lord while he maybe found, call ye upon him while he is near: Isaiah 55:6
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13
All men (I Timothy 2A, 6) can be saved.
Wherever you are right now, tell God that you are a lost sinner, ask Him to forgive you of your sins, and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour. Claim salvation by faith.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works. Lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

YOU MAY PRAY THIS SIMPLE PRAYER, MEANING IT WITH ALL YOUR HEART:

Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner, but I am sorry for my sins. I believe that the Lord Jesus died for me, was buried and rose again and with all my heart I turn from my sin and receive Him as my Saviour as my only hope of being right with God right now, and thank you, Lord, for saving me! Amen.

This is God's way of salvation according to His Word. Many times men fail to keep their word, but God never fails to keep His Word! Take God at His Word. Don't trust your feelings. But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. I Peter 1:25

THE DASH

I read of a man who stood to speak
at the funeral of his friend.
He referred to the dates on his tombstone
from the beginning………to the end.
He noted that first came the date of his birth
and spoke of the second with tears.
But he said that what mattered the most of all
was the dash between those years.
For that dash represents all the time
that he spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved him
know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not how much we own;
the cars, the house, the cash.
What matters is how we live and love
and how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard.
Are there things you’d like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
(you could be at “dash mid-range”.)
If we could just slow down enough to consider
what’s true and what’s real.
And always try to understand
the way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger,
and show appreciation more.
And love the people in our lives
like we’ve never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect,
and more often wear a smile,
Remembering that this special dash
might only last a little while.
So when your eulogy is being read
with your life’s actions to rehash…..
Would you be pleased with the things they say
about how you spent your dash?
