My Schizo Paranoia:

After finished school, I worked on engineering job for 4 yrs in LA area, I made my career move. I accepted a job offer in Wichita. Under new job pressure, I developed schizo paranoia. I distrusted everyone included my immediate supervisor. I suspicious they want to get rid of me. FBI followed me wherever I go. I could no longer to do my work. I went to my pastor in the church for help. I thought he used me to further his sermon instead of try to help me. finally I quit my job and moved back to Californa.

on my way to california, I kept thinking the cars behind following me were out to get me.

on my new job, I could not do any better. my schizo thoughts overwhelmed me. and they let me go after one year. I got new job at McDonnell Aerospce in St Louis. where my schizo illness completely breakdown. my weird behavior were unpredictable and my modes and thoughts constantly changed from one to another, uncontrollable. (I completely lost my belief, trust, and faith in everyone and everything. the whole world tried to harm me.) they took me to hospital by ambulance; hospital assighed Dr Wolff to treat me. I stayed in the hospital over a month and received one series of 7 or 8 ECT shock treatments.
after I was released from hospital and required to stay at home, not yet able return to work. McConnell learned of my illness, they called me in and terminated me at the same day. McDonnell administrator recommended me to apply job in the govenment - they could not discriminate me.

after months of goverment investigation on my illness, Dr. Wolff told me that he wrote a strong letter to govenment: I should be able to perform my work under his care. I was hired on temporay basis. Eventually they converted my position into permanent slot.

my schizophenia did not go away, only under control with heavy medication-Stalizines. Dr Wolff told me my schizo will probably stay with me for the rest of my life. I eventually getting better with time. once Dr Wolff wanted to stop my stalizine, because of the possible Tardive Dyskinesia (TD-involuntary muscle movement) If I continued to take stalizine, I had to see Dr Wolff every 3 months for possible TD onset. I have had seen Dr. Wolff for the last 30+ years. until recently drug company came out Geodon. Dr wolff replced the stalizine with GEODON on me. I only see Dr Wolff every 6 months on my medications. as turn out Geodon is also my good sleeping pill.

Living with schizo throughout my life, I learned to accept and cope with it - I kept telling myself: It is all in me, not someone else.
