Come with me on my Wiccan Journey!
"What is Wicca?" you ask. Wicca is the modern manifestation of an ancient religion that was practiced by the Celts throughout Europe. Stonehenge is a well-known site where this worship was probably practiced, both by Priestess of the Goddess as well as by Druids, although Stonehenge itself predates the arrival of both of these groups to England. There are as many different paths to follow down the Wiccan Road as there are practitioners of the craft. Some of these modern "witches" gather in covens and cast circles, chant, sing praises to the Goddess, and cast spells. Others are solitary practitioners who seek their own path to the Goddess. One common theme among Wiccan is the belief in a Supreme Being who happens to have a female aspect. Another common theme is the need to protect and serve the Earth. Earth is our home, our Mother, Father, our nurturer. Without Earth, there would be no mankind. I have chosen to follow "The Third Road"; it is a discipline which emphasizes purity, respect for the Old Gods, and connection with the Earth. My instructor, Ms. De Grandis, is a master of the Faerie Tradition, and I reverently hope to follow in her path.
Blessed Be!
