Using this software you can play checkers against your computer, however, the technical name of this software is 'Chat Room Checkes' because you can also play online against your friends.
How can you play online?
It's easy, just use your instant messenger or chat room to pass moves back and forth. Chat room checkers will pick it up and make the moves for you. It's all in the comprehensive help files.

Hello, I'm Don, owner of Metaware Productions.
Personally I'm more a chess player than checker player but now and then I like a nice relaxing game of checkers
Although I don't go in chat rooms as often as I used to, there was a time when chat rooms were a big part of my social life and part of that social life was playing a nice relaxing game of checkers. You know, something you could do just for the fun of it.
At that time it wasn't possible to play checkers from an instant messenger and I had one instant messenger contact who was willing to play but there was no easy way for us do that. So I made this program which, by the way, worked as well with a private chat room as it did with an instant messenger. Unfortunately, my friend wasn't always available so I went looking for players in chat rooms. Now you may be asking yourself, why didn't you just go to one of those websites where game playing is all they do?. The answer is simply that I was much more familiar with the chat rooms and knew a lot of people. In short, it was easier to find players in a place where they knew me and for that very reason, it was also more fun.
